Dr. Apurva
Creating art that heals, inspires, and gives back — one brushstroke at a time. Welcome to my world of vibrant colors and joyful creations.
My name is Dr. Apurva — Two worlds One purpose!
By day, I navigate the world of radiology — interpreting the shades of black, white, and gray that tell the stories of the human body. But when I step away from the lightbox, I step into a world of vibrant colors, bold textures, and joyful creations.
I've been passionate about painting since childhood. My art journey began with watercolor landscapes, gradually evolving into acrylic explorations and mixed-media experiments. The COVID era became an unexpected catalyst — it gave me the space and time to discover new styles, push creative boundaries, and dedicate myself fully to my craft.
Through my artwork, I share my gift of creativity to bring more happiness and good vibes into the world. My goals are simple: to brighten someone's day and to pay it forward. If my paintings bring a smile to your face, then I've succeeded.
Based in San Antonio, Texas, I create art that bridges traditional Indian artistry with contemporary expression — from serene mandalas and Madhubani paintings to vibrant abstracts and textured mixed-media pieces.
Meraki
A Greek word meaning to do something with soul, creativity, and love — to leave a piece of yourself in your work. Every painting I create carries this spirit.
Healing Through Art
Art has the power to heal, comfort, and uplift. Whether in a hospital room or a living room, I believe a painting can transform a space and touch a heart.
Giving Back
Art is my way of contributing to the community. Over 130 paintings donated to hospitals, charities, and fundraisers — because creativity should serve a greater purpose.
The First Brushstroke
Fell in love with painting at a young age, starting with watercolor landscapes and exploring the joy of creating art from imagination.
Pursuing Medicine
Earned a medical degree and specialized in radiology — mastering the art of seeing what the eye cannot, while keeping creativity alive on the side.
The COVID Catalyst
The pandemic became an unexpected gift — more time at home in isolation to protect my family meant more time at the easel. Discovered acrylic painting, mixed media, and developed a distinctive artistic voice.
